Viking Cruisers - Interior Design Magazine
One of the world’s leading interior magazines “Interior Design” recently featured a project designed by leading US company ROTTET with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Houston. Lauren Rottet has a high profile in US design circles.
The project was a luxury river cruise vessel on the Nile in Egypt running from Luxor to Aswan.
The featured image in the article was the typical cabin featuring a stunning custom wool throw manufactured in New Zealand from first shear lambswool.
Full credit in the article was given to Maxwell Rodgers Fabrics. As a small kiwi company we do some cool work around the world, all using New Zealand wools, and all made HERE.
Our latest global project that has caught the eye of many is a ferry in Greece operating between Piraeus in Athens and the Greek Islands.
In that case the product was one of Maxwell Rodgers standard high performance upholstery fabrics, TWEED (171,000 rubs) click here for tweed.
Roger is planning a site visit….. and that could take a while, maybe a week or two… or even longer?
It’s great to get these offshore projects but without the support of the New Zealand corporates and design community it couldn’t happen. We are finding the corporates are wanting to embrace the fact that all our wool upholstery fabrics are made right here in New Zealand. That’s good for the economy and great for the environment. The BNZ, ANZ, Air New Zealand, government departments and more all recognize that we are all better off it we support each other.
But there’s no compromise as our fabrics are world standard as the above projects demonstrate.
